Data can be stored on the 500GB HDD.
There are 4 USB3 ports and 6 USB2 ports at the back and 3 USB2 ports at the front.
If you've never owned a workstation before then the build and attention to detail will amaze you!
Everything is tool free apart from the 2 large CPU coolers.
HDDs can be changed in seconds via 2 caddies (if you want you can install a second HDD or SSD)
The DVD re-writer can also be changed in seconds with no screws etc to undo.
The memory has it's own, fitted, fan enclosure and there are 2 fitted fans at the back with a front fan and 2 cooler fans to ensure an excellent flow of air.
But in spite of the fans this is also very quiet running.
Comes with driver and backup discs etc and a lot of extra software including a program to create Ramdrives any size, and a program to protect against over heating.
This is a heavy item and is built to a very high standard throughout, with thick aluminum side panels the left hand side one which has an instant release catch for immediate access to the inside.
Personally I would never go back to the ordinary type of PC usually sold with thin metal and screws etc.
I use my own model to run up to 30 VMs all at once to do video rendering or photo processing etc.
